Abstract:

The concept of African Specific X databases originated from two major events, 1) lack of structured information  data that are critical in key decision making processes in developing countries as observed by the founder and ceo of the Biotech tropicana Systems through his works in Africa, 2) the need to systematically organize and archive valuable byproducts of exploratory  data collected by the Explorer unit for applications in technological innovation in the  Biotech tropicana Systems. Consistent with policy33 of the Biotech tropicana Systems, the authors hypothesize that a systematic database on African specific Biotechnology related data may have important applications not only in the developing world public sector for decision making but also in the developed world private sector for technological innovation. The authors therefore design the African Specific X Database, where X stands for a specific Biotechnology related topic.
