Background:

By 2009, the Biotech tropicana Systems initiated a science journalism program for developing countries. The program operates in English. Subprograms under incubation, now at advanced stages of development include:

1. The Biotech tropicana Journal
2. The Biotech tropicana NEWS
3. The Biotech tropicana DEVELOPMENT FORUM
4. Bt TV and Bt Radio

Here, we expand the SMART Tech Advisor program to include a platform of science journalism in Spanish and Portuguese and Frech.

Objectives:

To develop a science journalism capacity tailored to developing countries.

Associates:

1. Any non founding member of the Biotech tropicana systems is an associate. Membership policy 15)f.
2. To operate in the Biotech tropicana Systems science journalism program, an associate must demonstrate skills in both science and journalism
3. A candidate skilled in journalism that demonstrates a willingness to attend training courses in a field of science ma y be considered for associate position
4. Reversely, a candidate skilled in a field of science, willing to attend journalism training courses may be considered for associate position

NOTE:

In hiring process the Biotech tropicana Systems no discrimination policy 20 applies. Performance and availability are the major criteria for admission and promotion in programs of the Biotech tropicana Systems.

 

 

Phase 1: EXPLORATORY :

The exploratory phase will collect data for the design of a model science journalism for developing countries platform.

Phase 2: DEVELOPMENT :

The development phase 2 will use the model platform of phase 1 to develop an operational science journalism for developing countries platform with spanish, portuguese, and french publication language capacity.

NOTE:

Like any other program of the Biotech tropicana Systems, SALAC, the SMART African Language Commons, is the official language of the science journalism program.

Phase 3:IMPLEMENTATION :

Phase 3 will implement the expanded science journalism program in countries that approved the Biotech tropicana Systems application for authortization to do business in country.
