Decisions of the City Court of Cotonou, Benin, in case N° 3280/RP-2010 dated July 27, 2010 and case 3281/RP-2010 dated July 27, 2010, received.
The decisions were issued on July 29, 2010. The cases were filed on July 27, 2010 by the Biotech tropicana Systems against three instututions in Benin for failure to comply with terms of contracts, in connection with debt collection activities initiated by the Biotech tropicana Systems.
The court decision,
a) classified the files
b) found no ground for criminal
prosecutions.
Commentary:
The Biotech tropicana Systems is very pleased with the court prompt action on the cases, demonstrating the applicability of the principles of rule of law in Benin. With the court classification of the cases, the main aim of the Biotech tropicana Systems to have the issues documented and archived in the court records are met.
Approaches for initiation of a civil debt collection action, are being explored in the Biotech tropicana Sytems.
