The United States " Federal governement initiated programs for minorty business development in the mid 1960s. Most of this program treated minority businesses as homogeneous group_assuming similar entrepeneurial characteristics and problems......." [REF 1]
While deeply rooted in the United States minority business development models,
the Biotech tropicana Systems stressed the inclusion of nominority groups in
its business development strategy, so as to create the conditions for evolution
of the system toward general business trends in the United States of America. We
hypothesize that competition based on common rules set forth by the authority,
will prepare the Biotech tropicana Systems for a larger competition arena, on a global
scale.

On the search for alternative food technologies for the developing world
The Millennium Project was commissioned by the United Nations Secretary-General to recommend the best strategies for meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) . In October 2002, the Hunger Task Force was established to determine how to meet the hunger MDG—to reduce the proportion of hungry people in half from 1990 to 2015. Task Force members came from diverse backgrounds in science, policy, the private sector, civil society, U.N. agencies, and government, with broad representation from developed and developing countries.
