Cotonou, the de facto capital, is the largest city in Benin Republic, with a population size estimated above 1 million. The city of Cotonou is of strategic importance to the Biotech tropicana Systems. Work of the Biotech tropicana,IncEXPLORER unit in Benin, so far focused on rural poverty. Activities from the Cotonou site will provide data on urban poverty, for comparative analysis.
