Benin republic ratified a drug control Protocol designed by the European Council.

Comments:

In the view of the Biotech tropicana DEVELOPMENT FORUM, Benin republic strategy to adopt a European drug control protocol designed for application in a context that is radically different from Benin’s context is not appropriate. Human capital and technology availability are radically different between Benin republic and the European Union. A protocol that produces results in the European Union Context may not produce equivalent result in Benin republic context. In our view Benin republic should focus on controlling drug flow across its borders from neighbouring countries by developing collaborations with drug regulatory bodies with its neighbours not a far away across seas ally operating in totally different context. Furthermore, Benin republic a member country of ecowas and the African Union may acquire additional capacity from the European Union through established partnership and collaboration protocols between the African Union and the European Union. A two steps neighbour-neighbour and AU-EU partnerships for capacity transfer could also avoid potential conflicts of protocols between Benin-EU member country direct partnerships and AU-EU partnership protocols.
